The Sonic Ice Hopper Kick Stand kit was designed to provide extra bucket stability for larger electronic units and for those fishermen who have switched over lighter weight lithium ion batteries. Our original design used the weight of the fish finder and the weight of the lead acid battery to counter balance each other. Many fishermen are now using larger boat sized electronics and light weight lithium batteries, which do not counter balance each other.
